We therefore selected Silva to also paint all the woodwork throughout the interior of our house.  That work was also done very well, and with the disruption minimized.  (Work in most rooms was completed in one day so we were able to "reinhabit" the room after moving furniture away from the walls and have items covered by drop cloths.) After a basement renovation Silva’s came in for the painting job.  There was no fuss, no muss!  A few specific details were noted and taken care of.
The team, and there WAS a team, worked efficiently and neatly. And even though it was during the holiday season the job was completed in the time promised.

How much does interior painting cost?

Interior painting cost depends on the number of rooms, ceiling height, the condition of the walls, how much plaster or drywall repair is needed, the amount of trim and doors, and color changes. Can I stay in my home while you paint the interior?

Yes, most families stay home during interior painting. We can work room by room so you always have a place to sleep and a usable kitchen, and the work area is cleaned before the crew leaves each day. Low-odor paints from Benjamin Moore and Sherwin-Williams make the house more comfortable while the work is underway.

Do I need to move my furniture before you arrive?

No heavy lifting is needed on your part. Our crew moves furniture away from the walls and covers it, and protects your floors. We do ask that you put away small valuables, fragile items, and anything on the walls you want handled personally, like framed photos or artwork.

Do you repair cracked plaster and drywall before painting?

Yes. Repair is part of our interior prep. We fill plaster cracks, skim coat where needed, reset nail pops, retape drywall seams, and prime every patch before painting. If a wall has damage beyond normal prep, we tell you at the estimate so there are no surprises once the job starts.

What paint do you use for interior walls?

Benjamin Moore and Sherwin-Williams are the two brands we paint with. We choose the product and sheen based on the room: flat for ceilings, matte or eggshell for living spaces and bedrooms, and more scrubbable satin or semi-gloss for kitchens, baths, trim, and doors. If you already have a favorite line from either brand, just tell us.
